Over the last few months we’ve been enjoying watching a pair of Robins work tirelessly to build their nest amongst the ivy in our back garden. This was unfortunately destroyed this weekend by 2 naughty cats, who thought it would be fun to claw the nest out of the ivy… quick thinking and a very loud shoo meant we were able to save their off-spring; taking them to the local vets. Such a shame as they were almost ready to fly the nest. Hopefully the lovely Robins will come back next year.
Reggie and I ventured off early on our bikes to pay Windmill Hill City Farm a visit. This little gem of a farm is nestled in back streets of Bedminster, Bristol. A great place to get up close and personal to a few farmyard favs!
This pair. Always happy to wake you up at 6am, even on a Sunday!
We’re very lucky where we live; because despite living in the city, we have the most beautiful valley on our doorstep. Perfect for morning strolls and splashing about in the water!
Another birthday party, and a trip to Puxton Park near Weston-Super-Mare. Whilst there, Austin had chance to get up close and personal with some furry friends. He took great pleasure babbling to them and poking his fingers into their cages!
Reggie and I went for a ride this Sunday at Leigh Woods, Bristol. The woods were beautiful and adorned with blue bells and all the wonderful signs and smells of spring!
During a trip to the shops, Austin took a rather strong liking to Woody from Toy Story. If you’ve got kids of your own, you’ll know it’s all too easy to spoil them from time to time. But, hey! they’re only little once, right?!
This Sunday we visited Stourhead.
When this beautiful place first opened in 1740’s, a magazine described it as a ‘living work of art’. This is still true today with its world-famous landscape, magnificent lake, mystical grottos and rare and exotic trees.
This weekend we celebrated Austin’s 1st Birthday! A house full of friends, children, cake and cheers!!
This Sunday was all about Mummy! To celebrate, we took her to a lovely pub near Cirencester to say thanks for all the things she does for us. Happy Mothers day to all the Mums out there!
A rainy Sunday with Art Ninja! Reggie loves this program and I can see why. Ricky does some amazing stuff, including: Animation, Painting and Model Making. Well worth a watch!
