Ellesse:
Heritage Showroom

A Legacy of Italian Sportswear and Style

Celebrating the Timeless Design of a Pioneering Sports Fashion Brand

The Ellesse Heritage Showroom was created to pay tribute to the brand’s rich legacy in sportswear innovation and Italian tailoring. Located at the intersection of sport and fashion, the showroom is a physical space that reflects Ellesse’s enduring impact on global style.

The Origins of Ellesse: Where Style Meets Performance

Founded in 1959 by Leonardo Servadio in Perugia, Italy, Ellesse was born from the vision of a skilled tailor who sought to merge fashion with functionality. Coming from a family of textile merchants, Servadio had a bold idea—to create fashion-forward sportswear that looked as good off the court or slopes as it performed on them.

His tailored approach to design quickly set Ellesse apart in the worlds of skiing and tennis, two sports deeply rooted in Italian culture. One of his standout creations, the Jet Pant, gained international acclaim and was even featured in a 1979 exhibition at the Pompidou Centre in Paris, highlighting the brand’s role in the history of Italian design.

60 Years of Sportswear Innovation and Style

Over the decades, Ellesse has evolved into a global sports fashion brand, seamlessly blending its heritage in performance wear with contemporary street style. While the influences of ski and tennis are still evident in the brand’s logo and silhouettes, today’s collections embrace a broader cultural relevance.

Inside the Ellesse Heritage Showroom

The Ellesse Heritage Showroom is designed to immerse visitors in the brand’s past, present, and future. Featuring a curated archive of classic apparel and exclusive memorabilia, the space highlights landmark pieces from the brand’s journey. One standout feature is the hand-painted mural of the iconic Ellesse Tanker trainer, prominently displayed on the exterior wall—a visual homage to the brand’s commitment to art, style, and innovation.
